Thanks for joining us as we take the first steps to create an organization that is dedicated to preserving and restoring the amazing history of the Springfield neighborhood of Jacksonville.This site is for all those who want to join us as we put a stop to the disgraceful demolitions and destruction of the area's history that has been going on for 15 years.
It is also here to help celebrate the funky diverse and surprising history of Jacksonville's oldest neighborhood.

The neighborhood is rich with historic homes, but it is also rich with legends, myths, infamous and famous people who have lived in our neighborhood. Let's break it down, by decades, and see what we can record of the neighborhood, the good and the ugly, and leave it for the new batch of "urban pioneers" who will be (more than likely) fighting some of the same battles in decades to come.
